Bayern Munich Edge PSG in First Leg, Coman's Goal Gives Hosts Advantage

Messi and Mbappe Silenced as Bundesliga Champions Take Narrow Win

Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League Hopes in Jeopardy After Away Defeat

In a thrilling encounter at the Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich carved out a slim victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions Leagueラウンド・オブ・16 clash. Kingsley Coman's solitary strike proved to be the difference on the night, giving Bayern an away-goals advantage heading into the second leg in Paris.

Despite boasting an attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar, PSG struggled to find a way past a resolute Bayern defense. Bayern's goalkeeper, Yann Sommer, made several key saves throughout the match, denying PSG's star-studded attack on multiple occasions.

Coman's goal came in the 53rd minute, as he capitalized on a mistake by PSG defender Sergio Ramos. The French winger found himself in a one-on-one situation with Gianluigi Donnarumma and calmly slotted home the winner.

PSG had their chances to equalize in the second half, but Bayern's defense stood firm. Sommer produced another impressive save to deny Mbappe in the 65th minute, while Messi was unable to find his usual cutting edge in front of goal.

With the away-goals rule still in effect, PSG will need to score at least twice in the second leg at the Parc des Princes to advance to the quarter-finals. However, Bayern will be confident of protecting their slender advantage and securing a place in the next round of the competition.
